Project Breakdown Structure

The project breakdown structure presents database content dependent on user needs.

Data can be displayed as one or more user-defined structures. Each structure displays on the explorer as a hierarchy starting from a separate root node and can display database items organized according to, for example, system or class, depending on the definition in Lexicon.

The Project breakdown structure hierarchy is generated during runtime from a Lexicon definition and its nodes can represent database items as well as label text generated from the definition. Selecting a node connected to a database item navigates the database hierarchy.

A context menu with basic commands is available for relevant nodes.

To expand a node in the hierarchy, click to the left of the node name. To contract an expanded node, click to the left of the node name.

More than one node can be dragged and dropped from within or outside the system hierarchy. If required the correct hierarchy structure is created and the moved nodes are automatically renamed to reflect their new owner in the hierarchy along with their details and properties.
