Display the Current Row Index

Displays the current row index in a report.

1. Create a new report.

2. Bind the report to a data source.

3. On the Field List window, click the Field List tab and select the required field item to be used as the report data.

   

4. Drag and drop the selected field item onto the Detail area of the report. A control is created which displays the name of the field item and the yellow database icon.

   

5. Select the label, hold down CTRL and drag and drop the label to create an exact copy.

   

6. Select the created label and on the Properties window, click the Data tab.

   

7. Expand the Summary property.

8. Set the Running property to Report.

9. Set the Function property to Record Number.

10. Select the Ignore Null Values check box.

11. Click the Print Preview tab to display the result.
