Export Drawings

Exports a drawing to a PDF file, Plot File, CAD format or a Raster image. A batch export of multiple drawings can be performed using a grid.

If a drawing contains symbols that have not been updated due to element reclassification, or a drawing symbol has been modified or deleted by another user, either from the grid or the database, an error message is displayed indicating that the export process has been aborted.

Detailed error information is displayed in the Messages window.

Use the Export drawing window to define:

• the drawings, and drawing revisions, for export

• the file format

• the export directory

• the file export settings

The specified export settings are preserved between application sessions when a drawing export and a save work are performed.

By default, if a drawing has multiple sheets, each sheet is exported to a separate file. To export to a single PDF file, click the PDF settings tab and select the Combine drawing sheets into a single file check-box .
