Create Border Grid

Use the Border Grid Definition window to define and position a drawing border grid. The drawing border is defined using a grid template. The grid section coordinates can be used to identify the position of symbols, for example, an off page connector.
Grid Template
Specifies the grid templates that are available for selection. The Border Grid definition window is populated with the default values associated with the selected grid template.
Add
Creates a grid template. The Border Grid definition window is populated with the default grid template values.
Delete
Deletes the currently selected grid template.
Font Size
Specifies the font size for the grid template text.
Create mode
Specifies the grid creation actions that are available for selection.

Creates a border grid with a generated internal coordinates system. |

Set logic only |
Creates a border grid without a generated internal coordinates system. |
Template name
Specifies the grid template name.
Starting point of template
Specifies the grid template start point along the X and Y axis, measured from the bottom left corner of the sheet.
Horizontal Template Direction
Specifies the horizontal grid section annotation direction.

Left |
The annotations start at the left side of the horizontal grid.
|
|
Right |
The annotations start at the right side of the horizontal grid.
|
Horizontal Template Type
Specifies the character type for horizontal grid section annotations.

Letter |
Populates the horizontal grid with alphabetical characters. |
|
Number |
Populates the horizontal grid with numerical characters. |
Starting value
Specifies the start value for the horizontal grid annotations, subsequent grid sections are populated in ascending order.
If the specified value is not compatible with the Horizontal Template Type, an error message displays summarizing the problem.
Vertical Template Direction
Specifies the vertical grid section annotation direction.

Up |
The annotations start at the top of the horizontal grid.

Down |
The annotations start at the bottom of the horizontal grid.
|
Vertical Template Type
Specifies the character type for vertical grid section annotations.

Populates the vertical grid with alphabetical characters. |

Starting value
Specifies the start value for the vertical grid annotations, subsequent grid sections are populated in ascending order.

Horizontal Start Distance
Specifies the distance from the start of the grid template to the edge of the horizontal grid section.
Horizontal Mid Distance
Specifies the length of the horizontal grid sections.
Horizontal End Distance
Specifies the distance from the end of the grid template to the edge of the horizontal grid section.
Drawing Length
Specifies the length of the grid template.
Use Set current to make the length of the grid template equal to the length of the sheet.
Vertical End Distance
Specifies the distance from the end of the grid template to the edge of the vertical grid section.
Vertical Mid Distance
Specifies the height of the vertical grid sections.
Vertical Start Distance
Specifies the distance from the start of the grid template to the edge of the vertical grid section.
Drawing Height
Specifies the height of the grid template.
Use Set current to make the height of the grid template equal to the height of the sheet.
