Rename Record

Renames the currently selected record.

The functionality is not available if more than one record is selected.

Use the Rename element window to specify the new name for the record.

Type the new record name.

If Plant A is renamed and at that time Tag A1-1 is read only/claimed then the software will rename Plant A1 and System A1 not Tag A1-1. Renaming triggers reservation rules, if any of the rules are broken, no attribute values are changed and a message is displayed.

When renaming in bulk or on import the software will skip all elements which are read only/claimed.

Note:
Any changes can be undone and existing counters are retained where possible.
