The Home tab includes the following functionality available in Lexicon:

Create
Displays a drop-down menu listing all the Create options available for the selected element. The elements available for selection are dependent upon the Current Element (CE).

Dependent upon which element is selected as the CE in the Dictionary Explorer determines which elements can be created. For example, the CE in this case is the World.
Modify
Use the functionality to open the database views editor in the graphical view or access standard edit functionality.
Database Views Editor
The Database Views Editor displays all available elements in the database view editor. All Database Views Editor functionality is provided through selections made by the administrator in the Lexicon window.

To display the Database Views Editor, click Database Views on the Home tab, in the Modify group.Refer to Database Views Editor for further information.

Cut |
Cuts the current element from it position in the hierarchy. |

Copy |
Copies the current element selected in the hierarchy. |
|
Paste |
Pastes an element into the hierarchy below the current element. (The element is named as Copy(1) of XXX). |

Lock |
Use the Lock functionality to prevent an element from being modified. On the Home tab, in the Modify group, select Lock. |

Lock All |
Use the Lock All functionality to prevent all elements from being modified. On the Home tab, in the Modify group, select Lock. |

Unlock |
Use the Unlock functionality to unlock an element so that it can be modified. On the Home tab, in the Modify group, select Lock. |

Unlock All |
Use the Unlock All functionality to unlock all elements so that all elements can be modified. On the Home tab, in the Modify group, select Lock. |
Delete
Use the functionality to delete the current element selected in the Lexicon hierarchy.
Check
Use the functionality to compile the dictionary definitions which update the application and display messages about the success or failure. The validate functionality is particularly relevant to User defined Attribute (UDA) definitions and must be carried out to display up to date information about UDAs within the application windows.
Search
The Search functionality searches for current elements, element types or collections and lists the search results in a table. The functionality is common throughout all AVEVA products.
Collections
The Collections window is used to group data into collections and display the search results. The functionality is common throughout all AVEVA products.
Configure
Use the Comments functionality to add comments and suggestions for improvements and changes in the design in real time can be added.
