To run the inter-disciplinary project facility, select Inter Disciplinary Project Data > Manage on the Tools tab.
The Interdisciplinary Project Data window is displayed:

Note:
For project creation procedure required at a Global Satellite refer to Inter-Discipline Project Creation at a Global Satellite. For non-Global projects and for Global Hubs, follow the procedure described below.
-
In the Base Name field, enter a code to identify the project definition. It will be used in naming conventions for the databases and Multiple Databases (MDBs) that are to be linked to this project definition.
-
The Disciplines section lists all the Disciplines (created as described in Create Disciplines).
-
The Maturity section lists all the Maturity levels (created as described in Create Maturity Levels).
-
The Global section of the window is only displayed when running Administration at a Global Hub. From the Location list, select the target location for project creation. The MDB will be created at the selected location, and all databases created at the location will be "primary".
If a Satellite is selected then the Allocate Databases check box will be enabled. If the check box is checked then the databases will be allocated to the target location immediately after they have been created at the Hub. Otherwise any database allocation will have to be performed by the System Administrator using the standard database distribution and allocation facilities.
It is not possible to change the location after the databases have been created.
-
To add a common Database Set to the project definition, click Select in the Common Databases section. The Select Common DB Set window is then displayed:

The window lists all common Database Sets (created as described in Database Sets). Select the required set and click OK. The selected set is then displayed in the Common Databases section.
Only one set can be selected at a time. If a Database Set was previously selected, it will be replaced.
-
To view details of the selected Database Set, click Show Detail in the Common Databases section. The Database List for Common Database Set window is then displayed:

The window displays details of the databases in the set.
-
To remove the selected Database Set from the project definition, click Clear in the Common Databases section.
-
The Naming Convention section displays the naming conventions for team, database and Multiple Database (MDB) names, for example, the elements that they are made up from. This is displayed for information only and cannot be amended.
-
Click Create Project Data to create the project, teams, databases etc. Project definition MDBs are also created in a non-Global project or at the Hub for Global projects (for Satellites, they must be created separately at the Satellite location, as described in Inter-Discipline Project Creation at a Global Satellite).
During project creation, any information regarding the progress of the procedure and any error messages are displayed in the Summary section of the window. A Details link will provide access to a text log file of all the messages.
A team is created for each combination of Discipline and Maturity. Teams are created for consumer extracts.
A primary Database is created for each Discipline. Database extracts are then created for the main Maturity workflow and for the consumer extracts.
If MDBs are being generated, they are created for each combination of Discipline and Maturity.
