Add Engineering Table to Drawing

Adds an intelligent engineering table to a drawing populated with data extracted from items on the drawing canvas.

On the Drawings tab, in the Insert group, click Image and select Engineering Table from the drop-down menu to display the Insert Engineering Table window.

Use the Insert Engineering Table window to define the layout and the items that are displayed in the engineering table.

Font Size

Specifies the font size for the engineering table entries.

Font Color

Specifies the font color for the engineering table entries.

Border Color

Specifies the color for the engineering table borders.

Layout

Select the Vertical radio button to create a portrait style table, the heading cells are positioned at the top of the table and the body cells are positioned below them.

Select the Horizontal radio button to create a landscape style table, the heading cells are positioned at the left of the table and the body cells are positioned to the right them.

Data Source

Select the Selected symbols radio button to display the selected items on the drawing canvas in the engineering table grid.

Select the Sheet radio button to include all items on the sheet in the engineering table grid.

Select the Drawing radio button to include all items on the drawing in the engineering table grid.

Synchronize with Drawing Content

Select the check box to update the table when the content of the drawing canvas is updated. For example, inserted rows for inserted items and deleted rows for deleted items.

Deselect the check box to leave the table unchanged when the content of the drawing canvas is updated.

Class Filter

Defines class filters for the engineering table.

Click Add to add a class filter using the Select Class window. The filtered classes are displayed in the engineering table grid.

Click Remove to remove the currently selected class filter.

Use

Defines the drawing items that are included in the engineering table.

Select the check boxes to include items in the engineering table.

Deselect the check boxes to exclude items from the engineering table.

Engineering Table Columns

Defines the column layout and intelligent text that is included in the engineering table.

By default, the default name column is added to the engineering table.

Input intelligent text in the column heading field to define the column content. Any attribute class from the conceptual model can be used. For example, @Clone References@.

By default, a new column is added to the engineering table grid when a column heading is populated.

Click and hold a column header and drag it to a new position between two other columns to change the column order.

Click [X] in the column header to delete a column.

Double click a cell to modify the content using the Text Editor window.The engineering table can be modified using the Table tab, grip points or properties. Refer to Create Text, Table Tab, Modify Intelligent Table using Grip Points and Modify Intelligent Table Properties for further information.
