Draw Outlines

Draws an outline. The vertices of an outline can consist of a mixture of straight lines and arcs. However, outlines can also be drawn which consist of polynomial curves.

The prompt Specify the first vertex or <Cloud Outward> is displayed.

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the first point of the outline.

The prompt Specify the next vertex or <Finish> is displayed.

Input values in the dimension and angle fields and press Enter or click to identify the next point of the outline. A vertex is drawn between the first and second points.

The prompt Specify the next vertex or <Finish> is displayed.

Input values in the dimension and angle fields and press Enter or click to identify the next point of the outline. A vertex is drawn between the specified points.

The prompt Specify the next vertex or <Close> is displayed.

Input values in the dimension and angle fields and press Enter or click to identify the next point of the outline. A vertex is drawn between the specified points.

The prompt is repeated, multiple outlines can be created. The first point of a new outline is positioned at the same point as the second point of the previous outline.

Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the command.

Press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

Cubic

Draws an outline that consists of polynomial curves.

Cloud Outward

Draws a cloud with outward facing arcs. Refer to Draw Clouds for further information.

Cloud Inward

Draws a cloud with inward facing arcs. Refer to Draw Clouds for further information.

Revision

Draws a revision cloud. Refer to Draw Revision Clouds for further information.

Arc

Draws an arc.

Default

Draws an outline.

Line

Draws a line.

Close

Links the two endpoints of the outline with an automatically drawn line and ends the command.

Back

Undoes the last action.

Finish

Ends the command.
