Add Termination Diagram Template Graphical Boundaries

When setting up an Electrical or Instrumentation Termination Diagram template, you can define the area on the template in which AVEVA Engineering can place symbols on the drawings that use that template.
This is achieved using a contents boundary symbol, which is a box that you can add to the template in the size and shape you require. When the software automatically adds symbols to Termination Diagrams using the template, symbols will only be placed within the area defined by the boundary box. Note that the boundary box will not be visible on the Termination Diagrams themselves, only on the templates.
For information on creating boundary symbols for Termination Diagram templates, see Create Boundary Template.
Add a Drawing Content Boundary to an Electrical or Instrumentation Termination Diagram Template
-
With the template displayed, select a Drawing Contents Boundary symbol from the Setup Explorer, under Drawing Types.

In this example, the Drawing Contents Boundary symbol under the EPT Terminations > EPT General Terminations node is selected, but any boundary symbol created for Termination Diagrams templates will behave in the same way (EPT Terminations and EPT General Terminations are what the nodes for auto-generated termination diagram templates are called in this example project; they will be called something else in your project).
-
Add the boundary symbol to the template in the normal way.
-
Once you have added the symbol to the template, define the size and shape of the area by either resizing and reshaping it on the template, or by changing its Boundary Region attributes:

See Setup Explorer, Symbol Editor and Attributes for further information.
