Use the window to edit the design of an enclosure.
Display Name
Specifies the name of the enclosure being edited or the enclosure item selected or being added.
Class
Specifies the class of an item to be added to the enclosure, or of an item selected in the enclosure.
The ... control displays the New window, used to select the class and name of items to add to the enclosure.
Library items
Only displayed if the selected class is one for which a library exists, such as a compartment or plugs and sockets.
Specifies the library item to be added.
Preview
Only displayed if the selected class is one for which a library exists.
For compartments, displays a preview of the layout of the compartment selected under Library items in the Compartment Preview window.
For other items, such as instruments and IO modules, displays a preview of the terminal arrangement of the selected item under Library items in the Terminal Arrangements Preview window.
Number of items to add
Multiples of certain library items can be added (various device types for example). When such a library item is selected, an additional field is displayed next to Add >>.
Specifies the number of the library items to be added.
Channel items
Only displayed if items with channels are selected, for example, an IO module.
Displays the channels of the item and their descriptions.
Add >>
Adds the new item to the part (tab) of the currently selected enclosure.
If the item being added is an earth bar, displays the Earth Bar window.
If the item being added is a terminal strip, displays the Terminal Pattern window.
The preview on that tab is updated to display the item.
Back, Front Door, Door Inside, Left, Right, Top, Bottom
Used to display the items added to each part of the enclosure, for example, back or front.
Selected items are highlighted with a blue outline.
Rotate item +90° / -90°
Rotates the selected item plus or minus 90°.
Right-click on an item to display a drop-down menu.

Copy |
Copies the item. |

Paste |
Pastes a copied item. |
|
Delete |
Deletes the item. |
|
Edit Terminations |
Edits the terminations of the item. Displays the Terminations window. |

Link Device |
Used to link one selected device to another selected device in the same compartment. A sub-menu is displayed from which the direction of the link can be selected (for example, to or from):

Unlink Device |
Used to remove links to other devices. A sub-menu is displayed from which link to be removed can be selected:
Dragging and dropping a device outside of its compartment will also remove all its links. |

Power Connection |
Used to set the device to have power connection links to other devices. |
|
Append Terminals to Terminal Strip |
Used to add terminals to a terminal strip, displays the Terminal Pattern window. |
|
Assign Channel Number / Start Address |
Assigns channel numbers and start addresses. Displays the Assign channel number and address to channels window. |

Move To > |
Moves the item to a different enclosure part tab as selected from the drop-down menu:

Find
Used to find and select items that have been added to the enclosure.
Displays the Find window.
Scale To Fit
Scales the display of the enclosure part tabs to fit all the items added to them.
-, + and Slider
Zooms the display of the current enclosure part tab in and out.
Overview
Displays an overview of the enclosure part tab in the bottom-right corner of the displayed window.
