Copy Databases

Copied databases can be used for:
-
Copying a template project.
-
Merging projects.
-
Copying included databases before archiving.
Note:
If the user wants several users to be able to work on copies of the same data, it may be more appropriate to use Extracts. Refer to Extracts.
Click Database and Extracts on the Manage tab. Select the element to copy and click Copy. The, Copy Database window is displayed.

Specify the owning team by selecting a team from the list. Specify a Name, Description and Area Number for the copy.
Note:
You cannot change the database number of the copied database. This will be same as
the original. There cannot be more than one database with the same database number
in the same MDB.
Note:
To avoid the risk of database corruption, all copying of databases (that means, the
files inside the Project directory) must be done from AVEVA Administration and not by using operating system utilities or commands.
Copied databases can be changed or deleted.
