Assign Component Specification

The component specification reference value indicates the component specification of the selected item.

To display the component specification reference attribute, select the item on the drawing canvas.

Open the Attributes window and navigate to the Component Specification Reference attribute.

Click ... to display the Assign component specification window.

Grid

Displays the component specification references that are available for selection.

View Components

Populates the grid with default, out of specification or items at specification references.

Default

Displays the default component specification references that are available for selection. When a default component reference is selected, the Out of Specification attribute value is set to False.

Note:
If a default specification reference is assigned to a component, the application recalculates the specification reference if the bore or pipeline specification is modified.

Out of Specification

Displays a list of specifications that are available for selection, when a specification is selected, the out of specification component references that are available for selection display in the grid. When an out of specification component reference is selected in the grid, the Out of Specification attribute value is set to True.

Items at Specification

Displays the at specification references that are available for selection. When an item at specification component reference is selected, the Out of Specification attribute value is set to False.

Note:
If an item at specification reference is assigned to a component, the application recalculates the specification reference if the bore or pipeline specification is modified.

Out of Specification

By default, the Out of Specification attribute value is populated when the component specification is assigned. The attribute value can be modified manually.

To modify the out of specification attribute, select the component on the drawing canvas.

Open the Attributes window and navigate to the Out of Specification attribute.

Select True to define the component as out of specification. The Component Specification Reference attribute value is deleted. An out of specification component specification can be assigned using the Assign Component Specification window.

Select False to define a component as within specification. The application calculates the Component Specification Reference attribute using the component type, pipeline specification and bore values.

Note:
If an out of specification reference is assigned to a component, the application recalculates the specification reference only if the bore is modified.
