P&ID Use Have Part Validation Attribute

The Use Have Part Validation attribute can be accessed to create data associations for sub-equipment within engineering drawings. For example, an association can be made between a pump and a motor.

The functionality can be used if the equipment item has a Can Have Part association with the sub-equipment item in the conceptual model.

To define a sub-equipment item, select Use Have Part Validation. The user is prompted to select the associated equipment item when the sub-equipment item is added to the drawing canvas in the Engineer module.
