By default, the AVEVA Engineering - Engineer window is displayed with the Home tab selected. The main parts of the AVEVA Engineering - Engineer window are:

The title bar of the module window: this displays the code of the current project.

Quick Access Toolbar - tab options can be added to the quick access toolbar for convenient access. Some commands are located here by default. The default location of this toolbar is above the tabs to the left of the title bar, but it can be moved below them if required.

Engineer Tabs - most commands, facilities and utilities of the Engineer module are accessed from these tabs.

Overall Project Functionality - accessed from the Project tab, the displayed fluent User Interface (UI) provides access to a number of key commands and facilities that define the Engineer module defaults.

Grids Explorer - provides an easy-to-use, graphical method of exploring the engineering grids.

Grids - Data in the Engineer module is viewed and edited using a number of grids which can be located using the Grids Explorer.

Message Log window - displays the user and system messages created by the application including alerts and errors.

Command Window - used for executing standard commands and Programmable Macro Language (PML) functions.

Status Bar - located at the bottom of the module window, this displays status information, (for example, the number of records in the current grid) error, warning and information messages and provides access to the message log. Functionality is also available to increase or decrease the magnification of the view using the zoom functionality.
