Split Stream by Inline Item

• Create Process Flow Diagram Drawing.

To split a stream by a inline item

1. On the flow sheet, click All Symbols on the top left corner of the window to display the symbols library.

   

2. Enter Valve into the Search field to display only the stream symbols.

   

3. Drag and drop Valve general, Dynamic type (general) on to Stream S2 using the middle connector point.

   The valve is created at the location you have dropped it.

   

   Stream is split and healed automatically as V1 is an inline item. Both stream lines have same number.The Drag and Drop does not create a new instance of the stream or copy of S2. To create a new stream you can Heal Stream Split by Inline Item.
