Use the Class Associations part of the Classes window to add, view, edit and delete inherited class association properties.
When relationships are created in the diagram between classes, a parent and child relationship is formed. This means that the attributes and associations are inherited from the parent class to the child. These are then grouped into the inherited part of the Properties pane for the class in the attribute and associations sections.

The grouping can be turned off using the Group associations by owning class functionality, as a result the inherited attributes and associations are displayed with ones actually on the class. The elements will have the attributes displayed, both inherited and local.
Note:
The inherited attributes and associations can be hidden from the view. This doesn't
remove them from the class but allows the user to cut down the numbers shown.
Associated items can be added, deleted and all associated items can be selected for deletion.
The check boxes adjacent to associated items can be individually selected to mark them for deletion.
Note:
When overriding associations associated with a vocabulary, the Cardinality of the
overridden association can be modified if the Cardinality value of the parent is * without causing a vocabulary validation error. If the parent Cardinality value is
an integer, is associated with a vocabulary and is modified, an error is displayed
when the vocabularies are validated.
