Link and Update Window

Displays the Link and Update window. The window content vary dependent on the selected item.

Note: To get the Link and Update PFD functionality working properly, you must manually update the Reference Input and Reference Output for equipment and inline items. For more information, see Update Reference Input and Reference Output for Equipment and Inline items.

For PFD drawing

If you select a Process Flow Diagram (PFD) drawing to establish the link between the Unit Operations objects (UO) and existing functional items and to update the linked objects with the data from simulation.

For Simulation Item (SIMITE)

If you select SIMITES to establish the link between the Unit Operations objects (UO) and existing functional items and to update the linked objects with the data from simulation.

Note: The following explanations are based on SIMITES selection, but works for PFD drawing selection as well.

Simulation Data

Displays the name of the simulation item (SIMITE).

Simulation Class

Displays the unit operation class of the item defined in the simulation application.

Functional Items

Displays the corresponding functional item (FUNITE) name.

If the entry field is empty, the SIMITE is not linked to a FUNITE. Select a FUNITE from the dropdown list to define a link association.

Update Data

Defines the SIMITE to be linked to a defined FUNITE.

If a check box is selected, the SIMITE will be linked to the defined FUNITE and the simulation propagated after clicking the Link and Update button.

If a check box is not selected, the SIMTE will be linked to the FUNITE, but the simulation data not propagated.

Link and Update

Starts the link process and displays the Compare and Update Window.
