Stores a report style sheet (containing all the report styles) in an external REPSS file. The report display can be restored using the REPSS file.

To store and restore report style sheets, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new report.

  2. Bind the report to a data source.

  3. On the Report Designer tab, click at the top-left of the report to display the Report Tasks window.

  4. Click the ellipsis next to Style Sheet to display the Styles Editor window.

  5. Click Add a style to create the new styles and define the style properties.

  6. Define the style properties and click Save styles to a file to display the Save As window.

  7. Navigate to the required file location.

  8. Input a filename in the File name field.

  9. Select Report StyleSheet files (*.repss) from the Save as type drop-down list.

  10. Click Save to save the file.

  11. In the Styles Editor window, click Remove a style to delete the created styles.

  12. Click Close to close the Styles Editor window.

  13. On the Report Designer tab, click at the top-left of the report to display the Report Tasks window.

  14. Click the ellipsis next to Style Sheet to display the Styles Editor window.

  15. Click Load styles from a file to display the Open window.

  16. Navigate to the REPSS file and click Open.

  17. The styles are added to the Styles Editor window and can be used throughout the report. For example, odd and even styles can be associated with the Detail band.

    Note:
The styles loaded from a style sheet file have a higher priority than the styles which exist in a report style sheet, returned by the Style Sheet property. This means that if the styles stored in the report have the same names as the styles loaded from a style sheet file, the styles in the file are used in the report.

Refer to Create Layout Template / Report Definition and Bind Report to Dabacon Project Data for further information.
