Project Creation Wizard

Click New Project in the AVEVA Administration sign-on screen. The Project Creation Wizard simplifies the process of creating a project by defining, through a series of windows, all the required environment variables and executing the required scripts.
The wizard can be used to create Plant and Marine projects.The Wizard sets the UTC switch on by default for all new project created using Admin. Refer to Enable UTC Session Dates for further information.

Project |
Enter a Project ID, which can be up to 8 alphanumeric characters (a-z, A-Z, 0-9). |

Code |
Enter a Project Code, which must be exactly 3 alphabetic characters (A-Z). |

Address |
Enter a valid path for storing the Project Folder, or click Browse to search for a suitable location. |

Browse |
Opens a standard folder browser which can be used to change the path. |

Details |
Displays the Project Details window allowing you to enter Project attributes. |

Project Variables |
Displays the Project Variables window. Before displaying the Project Variable window, the Wizard validates all fields and prompts you to enter any missing values or amend an incorrect entry. |

Existing Projects |
Displays the Existing Projects window which lists existing projects created by the Project Creation Wizard. |

Marine Project |
Place a check mark inside the box to specify the new project as a marine project. |

Create |
Creates the Project Folders in the path specified in the Address field. |

Close |
Closes the window |
Note:
The Project, Code and Address Fields must be filled in, spaces are not allowed. If any of the fields are empty, Create will remain inactive.
