Set Units priority for grids workflow

Use this functionality to select which units are displayed for selection from the drop list in a grid. In the Configuration module on the Rules tab in the Units groups, click to display the Unit Sets Configuration window.

Click Create Unit Set to add a unit set the list displayed in the window.

In the New Unit Set 1 row, type Length from the Dimension drop down list select Length.

In the Unit pane of the Unit Sets Configuration window, type MM into the Unit field and click Add unit to add the unit to the unit set.

In the Unit field, type MM and click Add unit, the display name is shown as MM[1]. By default , every number is converted to a subscript, refer to Display Label or further information.

Repeat the step to add a CM unit.

Repeat the step to add a KM unit.

Repeat the step to add a CMM unit.

Repeat the step to add a CMM unit.

Repeat the step to add a KMM unit.

Add a unit set to the list of unit sets, name the unit set as Length-Max.

Add a KM unit and modify the display name to KM.

Add a Yard unit and modify the display name to YRD.

Add a Mile unit and modify the display name to Mil.

Add a Yard unit and modify the display name to YD.

Click Apply

Click Save Work

In the Tools group, click Database View Editor to display the Database Views Editor window.

From the Database Views Editor window, select Pump Unit sets.

Select the Grids tab, from the Grids Explorer window, right click the Project folder.

From the right -click menu , select New then Grid to display the Create Grid window.

Enter Pump Unit sets in the Name field.

From the Views pane, in the Description field type Pump Unit sets to filter the list of views.

Select Pump Unit sets.

Select the Fields tab, on the Length row, in the unit set column select Length from the drop down list.

On the Length row, select Length from the drop down list.

On the Width row, select Length-Max from the drop down list.

On the Height row, select Length from te drop down list.

Select Save Work

Select Get Work

Select the Home tab, then from the View group, click Explorer and select Grids.

Select Default grids then Project and Pump Unit sets to display the grid.

From the Height column in the grid, click the ruler to display the drop down list populated with the applicable unit sets for this attribute.

From the drop down list, select Precision, to display the Precision window where the number of decimals can be specified.
