Inherited Attributes

When relationships are created in the diagram between classes, a parent and child relationship is formed. This means that the attributes and associations are inherited from the parent class to the child. These are then grouped into the inherited part of the Properties pane for the class in the attribute and associations sections.

The grouping can be turned off using the Group attributes by owning class functionality. As a result, the inherited attributes and associations are displayed with ones actually on the class. The elements will have the attributes displayed, both inherited and local.
Note:
The inherited attributes and associations can be hidden from the view. This doesn't
remove them from the class but allows the user to cut down the numbers shown.
