Add Inline Component to Process Instrument Connection Line

Inline components can be connected to a process instrument connection line.

When the inline component is added to the drawing canvas, it is positioned automatically, the process instrument connection line is split and intelligent connection points are positioned at the arrive bore and leave bore.

The association between the instrument and the connected engineering item is retained. For example, an equipment item.

Connected Items

To display the component first connected and component second connected attributes, select the inline component on the drawing canvas.

Open the Attributes window and navigate to the Component First Connected or Component Second Connected attribute.

Attribute Propagation

If the created inline component is connected to an existing process instrument connection line, the following attribute values are propagated from the associated process instrument connection line.
