Static Report

A static report is a report that is not bound to a data source. The example describes how to create a single page announcement which is repeated twenty times in a report.

Create a new report.

On the Toolbox, select a Rich Text control.

Click on the Detail blank space to position the control.

Click the Smart tag symbol at the top-right of the control to display the Tasks window.

Click Load File to display the Open window.

Navigate to the RTF or TXT file location and click Open. The control is populated with the information from the RTF or TXT file.

Note:
Additional text formatting can be performed. Use the functionality available on the Report Designer tab, in the Font group. -
Click the Detail band on the report.

On the Properties window, click the Miscellaneous tab.

Deselect all controls and make sure the report name is displayed at the top of the Properties window.

On the Properties window, click the Miscellaneous tab.

Input a value of 20 in the Detail Count when Data Source is Empty field.

Click the Print Preview tab to display the result.
