Changes the status of selected elements to a selected status in the lifecycle.
Select the tag to change and click the Edit icon in the Status Actions group of the Manage ribbon.

If a database has been set to Explicit Claim mode, before the status of elements can be edited they must first be claimed.
If an attempt to change the state of an unclaimed element in such a database is made, the attempt will fail. A message will be issued explaining why.
The Status window displays element information together with the new status value.

Controlled Object Revisioning (COR) is used to control when and if users are alerted to status changes of tagged item(s) by disciplines other than their own. COR enables this to be implemented by deploying an extract hierarchy that allows users to chose when to pick up status changes from other disciplines. Refer to the Administration User Guide for further information.
Note:
As the status control being used is mapped across an extract hierarchy, it is necessary
to be logged into the correct maturity level Multiple Database (MDB) for the team
in order to carry out certain status changes. Refer to the Administration User Guide for further information.
Value
Specifies a status value for the selected elements. The drop-down list consists of all available statuses, according to the definition of the lifecycle.
If multiple elements are selected that are different status, or had their status changed at a different time and/or by a different user, mixed is displayed, use promote/demote to edit the status value.
Reasons
If status change reasons have been defined, a drop-down list is available. The list will consist of all the reasons that can be assigned. Refer to the Lexicon User Guide for more information.
Comment
If required, type a comment in the field.
Revision
If the element has been revised, the Revision part of the Status window becomes active.
Use the Major or Minor radio buttons to specify the revision type.
