Create Assembly

Creates a nested assembly which is constructed using the currently selected set of individual symbol, drawing and annotation elements.

On the P&ID tab, in the Assembly group, click Create.

The prompt Specify base point is displayed.

Click to identify the base point of the assembly. The selected point is used as the base point for the assembly when dragged and dropped onto the drawing canvas.

The Create Assembly window is displayed.

Type a unique name for the nested assembly.

Select a Symbol Palette from the drop-down list to specify the storage location of the assembly.

The assembly is created and added to the specified symbol palette.

The example displays a nested assembly. The nested assembly contains symbol elements with intelligent text and intelligent connection points.

The assembly can be modified using the Configuration module.
