Merge Branches

Merges two piping network segments contained in the same piping network system or different piping network systems.

Note:
Piping network systems cannot be merged.

On the P&ID tab, in the Pipeline group, click Merge Branches.

Merge Piping Network Segments using selected Source Centerline

Merges two piping network segments into a single piping network segment. The piping network segment of the currently selected source centerline on the drawing canvas is retained and the piping network segment of the target centerline is deleted.

The prompt Select target line is displayed.

Click to identify the centerline contained in the piping network segment to be merged. The piping network segments are merged.

Merge Piping Network Segments using selected Source and Target Centerlines

Merges two piping network segments into a single piping network segment when centerlines from each piping network segment are currently selected on the drawing canvas.

The Merge branches window displays.

Upstream

The piping network segments are merged. The upstream piping network segment is retained and the downstream piping network segment is deleted.

Downstream

The piping network segments are merged. The downstream piping network segment is retained and the upstream piping network segment is deleted.
