Save Work

Saves any changes made to data in the Engineer module. By default, this facility is also available on the quick access toolbar.
Engineering users of the same discipline in two separate sessions (A and B), are able to:

Update the distributed data (new/existing XPITEM data) on two different tagged items simultaneously without any claim issues.

If a user performs a Save Work within a session (Session A), an automatic Get Work is triggered from the other sessions (Session B), without the need for a manual Get Work operation.

If a user performs a Save Work within a session (Session A), an automatic Get Work is not triggered from other sessions (Session B). Updates are only visible using a manual Get Work operation. The automatic Get Work operation on an XPITEM when a Save Work is performed is only applicable to XPITEMs in the same database. The functionality is not available if the XPITEMs are in different databases, for example, the Process data Database (DB) and the Electrical data DB.
