Specify Sort Order

By default, records in a grid are displayed in order of creation, with the newest listed first. The default sort order can be modified.

View Fields

Displays a list of available field names.

Show Used Only

Defines the fields displayed in the list of available field names.

If the check box is selected, the list of available fields is restricted to display only fields that are associated with the current grid.

If the check box is not selected, the list of available fields is not restricted.

Sort by

Double-click on a field to move it into the Sort by list. Any number of fields can be added to the Sort by list.

Note:
The numerical sorting option only applies to text fields, a numeric field is always numerically sorted.

If multiple fields are displayed in the Sort by list, drag and drop fields upwards or downwards to define the sort priority.

Double-click on a field in the Sort by list to move it to the View fields list.

Note:
Temporary sort orders can be specified when a list is open using the general list functionality.
