Unit Sets

The Unit Sets hierarchy is created in the Dictionary Explorer, refer to Unit Sets for further information. Use the Unit Sets Configuration window to create, configure, copy and delete unit sets. The definitions are stored in the Dictionary database, these definitions can be exchanged between the external file definition and the internal database definition.

Note:
All unit sets definition changes are stored after Save Work.

Create unit set

Creates a new unit set, input a name for the new unit set. Unicode characters can be used in the name.

Note:
If the unit set is the same as its dimension, then the set will be used as the default for this dimension)

Select the appropriate dimension from the drop-down list (an alternative way to enter a dimension is to type a common unit for the needed dimension. For example: if m3/h is entered it will be resolved to Volumetric Flow).

Delete unit set

Deletes the currently selected unit set.

Copy unit set

Copies the currently selected unit set.

Unit

Input appropriate unit(s) of measure, ir required add multiple units of measure.

System

Select a system of measure from the drop-down list (imperial, metric, SI or US).

Add unit

Adds a new unit to the unit set,

Up order

Moves the currently selected unit up in order of appearance.

Down order

Moves the currently selected unit down in the order of appearance.

Delete

Deletes the currently selected unit from the unit set.

Once a new unit has been added to the unit set, it is displayed in a grid in the Configure Unit Sets window.

Unit

The database name of the unit

Display Label

The label that will be displayed throughout the system. Unicode characters can be used. Each display label should be unique per unit set. Refer to Display Label for further information.

Precision

The number of decimal digits that will be used.
