Link Functional Items to Simulation Items using Inverse of Realized By ​.​.​. Attribute

Prerequisite

• Create Streams Manually.

• Open Functional Item Grid.

• Identify Functional Item Name using Process Flow Diagram.

  

To link a functional item (FUNITE) to a simulation item (SIMITE) using the Inverse of Realized By ... attribute

Note: The procedure is suitable if you need to link and update a single or a a few items.

1. Open Item Attributes for the S2 FUNITE.

   

   Note: The Ref Connected Attributes displays to which elements the stream is connected to, so that you can check if it is the correct stream.

2. Click the Text filter icon to display the text filter line.

   

3. Enter inverse to display the Inverse ... properties.

   

4. Click into the field adjacent to Inverse of Realized by Stream property to display the ... icon.

   

5. Click the ... icon to display the Engineering Reference Browser window.

   

6. Select the corresponding SIMITE.

7. Click OK.

   The stream name populates the Inverse of Realized by Stream property field.

   

8. Repeat step 1 to 9 for the S3 stream.

   In the EPT-UO-STREAM-GRID, the FUNITE name populates the Realized by Stream field.

   

   You can now Link and Update Simulation Item to Functional Item Individually.
