Add Assembly

There are three types of assembly available for all disciplines. For the P&ID discipline, the most appropriate assembly type is the nested assembly. Nested assemblies can be created in the following ways:

• Using the Configuration module.

• Using the Engineer module.

Assemblies are added to the drawing canvas by dragging from the Symbol Palette. All connections between assembly items are maintained and reflected in the attributes. The attributes of each assembly item can be modified individually.

The example displays a nested assembly. The nested assembly contains symbol elements with intelligent text and intelligent connection points.
