Explode Objects

Explodes multiple objects or outline elements into the primitive components that the objects are composed of, for example lines and arcs.

Click Primitives in the Modify group on the Drawings ribbon and select Explode>Explode.

The prompt Select objects to explode is displayed.

Note:
The prompt does not display if one or more objects are already selected.

Click to identify the objects to explode and press Enter.

The selected objects are exploded, for example, a rectangle element is exploded into four straight elements.
