Use the Name Settings window to define sets of rules which can be used to allocate logical names automatically to newly created elements of specified types.

Naming Settings |

Auto Naming On/Off |
Click to select the check box to switch the Auto naming functionality on. By default, the functionality is not switched on. |

Define Naming Rules |
Displays the Naming Rules window. |

Using User defined naming rules |
The statement indicates which set of rules has been opened for example: User defined, Project defined or System defined. |

Naming Mode |

Infill |
Use the numbers made available by deleting elements, therefore the number used for a new element is the lowest available. |

|
Append |
Add all elements to the end of the numbering scheme. |
