As well as using the methods described above, “stretchy” fed item connections can be drawn between items on SLDs, e.g. between a busbar and a generator.

Click on the symbol of one of the items to be connected. The connection points of the symbol are displayed. Connection point colours indicate their “direction” i.e. supply tag or fed tag, as defined in the Configuration Module.

Click on and “grab” the required connection point. Holding down the mouse button, drag the mouse pointer towards the other symbol. A connector line is drawn along the path of the mouse pointer.

When the pointer is near the other symbol, its connection points are displayed. Drag the pointer to the required connection point and release the mouse button. A fed item connection between the two items is created.

Fed items connection points can only be connected to supply item connection points, and vice versa.

Items such as busbars do not have pre-defined connection points. A connection can be drawn from or to any point on their symbols.
