Position Fields

In addition to graphical selection on the drawing canvas, you can explicitly define a position using the context editor position fields.

You can input values in the fields and press Enter or click to identify a position on the drawing canvas.

Press the tab key to navigate between the text fields.

Press the space bar to lock a text field. The lock symbol displays in the field.

Press the @ key to toggle between relative positioning, absolute positioning and offset positioning.

Note:
On a standard QWERTY keyboard, the @ symbol is is typically located on the number 2 key. You may need to use the Shift + 2 key to access the functionality.

Absolute Positioning

The provided values are interpreted as coordinates from the page origin.

Relative Positioning

The provided values are interpreted as coordinates from the object origin.

Offset Positioning

The provided values are interpreted as an offset from the current mouse position.

Note:
If a snap position is selected, the snap coordinates are used to measure the offset.

The offset position is indicated using a dotted line with a circular endpoint.
