Create an ENGITE on a PID diagram using the FUNITE grid

Use this procedure to create an ENGITE on a PID diagram from the FUNITE grid.

Prerequisites

• A FINITE grid is open. To open a FUNITE, see Open Functional Item Grid.

• A PID drawing is open. To create or open a PID, see Create P&ID Diagram.

• Class and attribute mappings are configured. For more information, see Class and attribute mapping use cases.

Procedure

1. In the FUNITE grid, select an item. For example, select PMP1.

2. Drag the selected item from the grid and drop it onto the open PID diagram. For example, drop onto the PID_01.

   The New tag window opens.

   1. In the Class picker, select the required class, and then select Create.

      The system creates an ENGITE on the PID drawing.
