Run Analysis

  • Last UpdatedApr 08, 2024
  • 2 minute read

Use the Run Analysis functionality to display suggestions on how to streamline the data model. The model analysis can be used to suggest:

  • Where attributes can be moved to a superclass.

  • Where there are duplicates in the model.

  • Where there are empty classes.

Model Analysis Rules

Select the required check boxes to define the rules for the model analysis.

The following rules can be selected for model analysis:

  • Properties That Can Be Moved - the rule determines if all the subclasses of a class have the same property. If they do, that property can be moved from the subclasses to the class.

  • Duplicate Properties On Classes - the rule determines if a class has multiple copies of an identical property.

  • Duplicate Items - the rule determines if there are multiple classes with the same name.

  • Duplicate List Of Values Items - the rule determines if a list of values contains multiple identical values.

  • Leaf Classes with no Attributes or Associations - the rule determines if a leaf class (a class with no children) has no attributes or associations.

  • Intermediate Classes with no Attributes - the rule determines if an intermediate class (a class with children) has no attributes or associations.
