Reclassification of Tags

If the classification of a tag has been changed in AVEVA Diagrams and/or AVEVA P&ID, the class URL has changed. On import of the schematic data into AVEVA Engineering the tag is reclassified to match the tag to the same class as the schematic and/or P&ID elements.

Note:
This functionality is enabled only when the override destination element option is enabled in configuration and the override destination element option is enabled in the Configuration Summary pane of the Manage Configurations & Groups window.

Note:
Updates are not allowed if the element does not belong to the hierarchy or is not a child of the owning element.

In the Compare and Update module the software checks for any matched tags that have been reclassified (in Diagrams and/or P&ID). Any identified tags are displayed in the Compare/Update grid as Reclassified to Source type for example: Reclassified to: CentrifugalPump.

Click to select the Accept checkbox on the highlight lines in the grid of the Compare/Update grid and click Update Destination, the Reclassify Tags window is displayed populated with the selected tags.

Select one or all of the tags, once the reclassification is complete the Compare/Update grid is refreshed as shown below.
