View Definition Set

Use the View Definition Set part of the Database Views Editor to select and manage the source for the Database View definitions being modified. By default there are three Definition Sets available for selection from the drop-down menu.

Element Views |
A read-only set of Database Views which are automatically generated from the database definitions. A default Database View is provided for every system defined element type and User defined element UDET for each database type it is allowed in. |

Project Views |
All of the Database Views that exist in the Lexicon hierarchy. |

User Views |
The Database Views for the current project as defined for this user, these views are stored in %AVEVA_DESIGN_USER%. |
Additional Definition Sets can be created or added into the list with the use of the toolbar provided.
Toolbar
The View Definition Set toolbar provides the ability to manage the Definition Sets available for selection from the drop-down list. Use the functionality available to create, load or delete any file based definitions.

Open |
Displays an Open window, navigate to and open a Definition Set. |
|
Close |
Closes the currently selected file based Definition Set, the default Definitions Sets cannot be closed. |
|
New |
Displays the Create Definition Set window, use the functionality available to create a new Definition Set. |
|
Delete |
Deletes the currently selected Definition Set from the file system and removes it from the list. |
|
Save |
Saves the currently selected file based Definition Set. |
If required, select from the drop-down menu which View Definition Set to use.
