When a discipline team issues its component of a tag, Controlled Object Revisioning (COR) records the revision numbers of the set of components of the tag. These will be the revision numbers that are in the issuing team's Multiple Database (MDB) and reflect the version of data from other disciplines that the team has accepted using the Revision Center. The components are the main tag element (ENGITE) and distributed attribute elements (XPITEM). The recorded revisions will be used to drive the population of a baseline set of data using relations in two ways: ‘issued against’ and ‘consumed by’ relationships.
Note:
The exception to this is the tag component. Since the tag is always issued first,
no other components have a consumed by relationship with the first revision of the tag component. The relationship between
the governing component and the tag component is always an issued against relationship. If the process discipline is selected as governing discipline for this
tag in the baseline, and the consumed by relationship is selected then the other component revisions are set from this relationship.
