Link and Update Functional Items to Simulation Items

Prerequisite

• Link and Update Simulation Item to Functional Item Individually.

  

• Open Functional Item Grid so that the drawing tab becomes highlighted.

  

To link and update functional items (FUNITES) to simulation items (SIMITES)

Note: The procedure is suitable if you need to links and update more than one item.

1. On the Simulation tab in the Functional Tags area, select the Link and Update PFD option to display the Link and Update PFD window.

   

2. Select a FUNITE, for example, FS7.

3. In the Unit Operation column of the FS7 line, select the dropdown arrow to display the SIMITES.

   

4. Select S7 corresponding to the identified FS7.

5. Repeat step 2 to 4 for the other unlinked streams to populate the Unit Operation fields with the corresponding SIMITE.

   

6. Click OK.

   The selected FUNITES are linked to the SIMITES now.
