Group Grid Data using Single Attribute

The display format of grids can be changed so that records with common attributes are grouped together. For example, records can be grouped according to their Tag Number or Function.
A grouping panel is displayed above the column headers if the Grouping Panel check box is selected.

Drag and drop the column header of the required attribute into the grouping panel to group the data. Two vertical arrows are displayed to assist the positioning of the column header.

The grid display changes to display the name of each group in the following format:
<Attribute Name>: <Attribute Value> <(Number of records in the group)>.
The name of the column that records are grouped by is displayed in the grouping panel.

Click + next to the group name to expand a group and to display the records within a group.
Note:
The fields within a group can be fixed, sorted, moved and filtered.
Click - next to the group name to collapse a group and to remove the records within a group from the display.
