Draw Default Connector

Draws a default connector directly from a connection point, if a connector class hierarchy association has been defined for the connection point definition in the Configuration module.

Select an object and click on an object connection point to identify the start point of the connector.

Note:
If a connector class hierarchy association has not been defined for the connection point definition in the Configuration module, a connector is not drawn and the move symbols using connection points functionality is enabled. Refer to Move Symbols using Connection Points for further information.

If connection point routing is on, the prompt Type or select length of starting point segment or is displayed.

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the routing length of the connector.

The prompt Select connector position or snap to connection point to finish or is displayed.

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the point to which the connector is drawn.

If an object connection point is selected, a connector is drawn between the two specified points and the command ends automatically.

If an object snap point or a position on the drawing canvas is selected, the prompt Select connector position or snap to connection point to finish <or Finish> is displayed.

The prompt is repeated, multiple straight line connector segments can be created.

Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the command.
