Draw Connector with Shield Vertices

Draws a connector with specified shield vertices at the start point or end point of the connector. The functionality to create shield vertices at the connector start point is explained.
Use the Symbol Palette to select the required connector, drag and drop the connector onto the drawing canvas.
The prompt Select connector starting position or snap to connection point or is displayed.
Input B at the prompt and press Enter.
The prompt Snap to positions to create connections for a loop vertex or is displayed.
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the connection point.
The prompt Snap to positions to create connection points for a loop vertex or <Finish> is displayed.
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the connection point
The prompt is repeated, multiple connection points can be created.
Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the shield vertex creation process.
The prompt Select connector position or snap to connection point to finish is displayed.
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the point to which the connector is drawn.
If an object connection point is selected, a connector is drawn between the two specified points and the command ends automatically.
If an object snap point or a position on the drawing canvas is selected, the prompt Select connector position or snap to connection point to finish <or Finish> is displayed.
The prompt is repeated, multiple straight line connector segments can be created.
Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the command.
A connector is drawn and displays on the drawing canvas.
Note:
The Repeat Connector option becomes available on the Fluent User Interface (UI) once the first connector
is drawn. Additional connectors, using the same format as the first connector, can
be added to the drawing canvas without the need to drag and drop from the Symbol Palette.
Press ESC to cancel last unfinished command. Additional functionality is also available.

Begin with shield |
Press the down arrow key and select Begin with shield to draw a connector with shield vertices at the start point of the connector. |

Turn on routing |
Turns on connection point routing. |

Multi connector |
Draws a multi-connector which consists of a parent connector and a specified number of child connectors that are equally spaced using an offset value. Refer to Draw Multi-connector for further information. |

Press the down arrow key and select End with shield to draw a connector with shield vertices at the end point of the connector. |
