It is beneficial to have the Daemon log setting activated for troubleshooting purposes as well as helping the System Administrator to know how the Global daemons are functioning. We can activate the diagnostics by configuring the Global ADMIN comms log.
The Global ADMIN comms log is activated from Daemon>Daemon Settings. This will display the Local Daemon Settings window. In the appropriate text boxes, enter the Diagnostic Logfile name, the Diagnostic Level (see below), and finally Enable the Diagnostic Logging using the drop-down list.
Note:
If using an environment variable in the log file path, it must be defined in the daemon
script or in the window from which the daemon was started.
