Relationships between User Defined Elements (UDETs), User Defined Attributes (UDAs) and the selected Base Types display in the Graphical View window of the Lexicon window. The UDET element must be selected as the Current Element (CE) in the Dictionary Explorer, right click and select Graphical View from the drop-down menu. The graphical view for the selected element displays.

For this example: the relationships in the display are a node for the selected UDET,:VALVCHAR and a link from it to another node, which is its base element type XPITEM.
The link (indicated as a filled head arrow) represents a parent-child relationship and begins on the child and points to the parent.
Other UDET’s that have the same base element as the selected element also display in the view. The layout of the nodes is intended to display an inheritance hierarchy. The base element displays at the top, the UDETs based on it are aligned below.
When the UDET has Distributed Attributes, right-click the UDET and select Navigate to from the drop-down menu to display the Distributed Attributes Graphical View in a new tab.
