Accept or Reject Preview Import Identified Changes

Use the Preview window, together with the diagram views of the current model, import file and the Properties window to accept or reject identified changes for classes, attributes, class associations and list of values.

The Preview window, diagram views of the current model and import file, and Properties window are synchronized. For example, select an object in the Preview window to highlight the object in the current model diagram view, and the corresponding object in the import file diagram view. The properties of the selected object are displayed in the Properties window. The Properties window is read only.

The identified changes can be accepted, rejected, or temporarily tagged as neither accepted or rejected. Identified changes tagged as neither accepted or rejected must be accepted or rejected prior to import or export.
Import Preview
Select the required check boxes to filter the classes, attributes, class associations and list of values and click Apply.
The display color for new, updated, missing from import, out of scope and no change objects can be modifed. Select the current color to display the Color window and select a color for the object from the color palette.
Include Parents
Select the check box to display all parent objects, subject to other filters.
Deselect the check box to display only new objects, modifed objects and objects flagged for deletion. Intermediate parent and child objects are displayed.
Partially select the check box to display immediate parents only.
Accept All
Accepts all identified changes in the currently selected tab.
Reject All
Rejects all identified changes in the currently selected tab.
Neither Accept or Reject All
Temporarily tags all identified changes as neither accepted or rejected. Identified changes tagged as neither accepted or rejected must be accepted or rejected prior to import or export.
Import Mode
Select the Merge radio button to add new objects or preserve existing objects. New references are added, existing references are preserved.
Select the Replace radio button to replace existing objects or references.
Report
Creates an html report of the initial compare and conflict resolution. Detailed differences are reported, attribute values common to the current model and the import file are suppressed.
Import
Imports the accepted changes into the conceptual model.
Export
Exports a model differences file. Use the Save As window to navigate to the location, name the file and select the export format.
