Chamfer Objects

Applies a chamfer to two selected objects.

Click Primitives in the Modify group on the Drawings ribbon and select Fillet>Chamfer.

The prompt Select option: <Select object> is displayed.

Input S at the prompt and press Enter.

The prompt select first object is displayed.

Click to identify the first object (which can be a line or a construction line).

The prompt Select second line is displayed.

Click to identify the second line.

The objects are chamfered and the command ends automatically.

Press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.


Select object	Selects an object and starts the chamfer process.
Distance	Sets the chamfer distance. Refer to Set Chamfer Distance for further information.
Angle	Sets the chamfer angle. Refer to Set Chamfer Angle for further information.
Trim	Turns trimming on or off. Refer to Turn Trim On/Off for further information.
Method	Selects the chamfer method. Refer to Select Chamfer Method for further information.
Multiple	Chamfers multiple objects. Refer to Chamfer Multiple Objects for further information.
