Create Equipment Wiring

Use the Create Wiring For window to create wiring for equipment.

Grid

Displays details of the selected equipment.

Select

Specifies whether an assigned wiring rule is to be applied to an item.

Wiring Rule

Specifies the wiring rule applied to the equipment, if this has already taken place.

The ... control displays the Assign Wiring Rule window, used to assign a wiring rule to the equipment.

+ / -

After a wiring rule has been selected for an item, the +/- control displays/hides the connected "from" details of that will be assigned to the primary tag when the wiring rule is applied.

Beneath that, a second +/- control displays/hides the connected to details of that will be assigned to the secondary tag(s) when the wiring rule is applied.

Connected ‘To’

Specifies the tag number of the secondary equipment.

The .. control displays the Assign Tag window, used to select a tag number.

Sub-Equipment

If a sub-equipment tag of the assigned tag is selected, it is displayed here.

Cable Type

Specifies the catalog cable that a cable derives its basic attributes from.

The ... control displays a window which is used to select the cable catalog item.

Cable Length

Specifies the length of the cable.

Terminate ‘To’

Specifies whether or not the cable is to be terminated at the secondary tag.
